Andy Jones

I’m working as a junior software developer at a company really close to my house and it’s going really well at the moment. Just getting started, so lots of training but everyone there is really nice and we all get along great. It’s nice to be doing something that’s so relevant to my degree. Also, my office is a converted barn of which is awesome!

That’s all I need to say, just a small update on my little life.

It’s less than 4 weeks until the Great South Run in Portsmouth & Southsea and I’m starting to get nervous but very excited. This year I’m running for the RNLI and would really appreciate any donations that people are willing to give. I have set up a JustGiving page to make it even easier for you all :).

In other news working life is plodding along nicely. Although, I am missing Portsmouth immensly at the moment. Not so much the academic side, or even the night life and student loan but the people down there. (You all know who you are)

I’m Slowly working my way out of my overdraft, I even managed to join a gym today!

I have an interview tomorrow for a job that is a perfect progression from my degree. So fingers crossed :/

So I’ve had one interview and one rejection but I got a lot of positive feedback to take into my next attempt. Everything else is ticking along nicely, slowly working my way out my overdraft and enjoying having far too much free time.

Got back from Turkey about a week ago, IT WAS AMAZING! Can’t wait to go back next year to our sweet ass villa, so much banter in such a small amount of time.

Just a forewarning, watch out Portsmouth! I’m coming down on Wednesday night and planning on having a loooooooooong weekend.
